Thank you to the many healthcare and wellness providers who have affirmed their commitment to providing a welcoming space for lactating families and employees as Community Partners and Employers. Our health and wellness providers cover a wide-range of disciplines, from acupuncture to chiropractic care, dental care to eye care, primary healthcare to physical therapy, wellness clinics and so much more! In addition to providing welcome environments for families, lactation support providers and nutritionists offer resources, classes and workshops, and support throughout the year to help families meet their breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human milk feeding goals.

Orange County Health Department Re-Accredited
May 2023, the Orange County Health Department was re-accredited with honors by the North Carolina Local Health Department Accreditation (NCLHDA) Board. The press release highlighted the wide range of services, including breastfeeding support services that are available to all Orange County families. Need more information? UNC Hospitals Continue Baby-Friendly Support
In June 2023, UNC Hospitals were re-designated as a Baby-Friendly Hospital. UNC Hospitals support the goals of Baby-Friendly USA with policies and practices that provide welcoming and informed care – prenatally, during birth, and after leaving the hospital – to help parents meet their breastfeeding goals. Piedmont Health Services WIC Receives Award
In August 2023, Piedmont Health was awarded the WIC Breastfeeding Award of Excellence Program.
