Celebrating Latina/x Breastfeeding Week! This year’s theme is Reclaiming our Culture Through Lactation.
La Semana de La Lactancia Latina fue creada en 2023 por la Unión de Líderes de Lactancia Latina (Latinx Lactation Collective) y se celebra desde el primer martes siguiente al Día del Trabajo (“Labor Day”) hasta el lunes siguiente, este año del 3 al 9 de septiembre de 2024. Latina/x Breastfeeding Week) levanta las voces de las comunidades Latina/x, celebra las diversas culturas y crea conciencia sobre las barreras únicas que enfrentan las comunidades Latina/x.
La Semana de La Lactancia Latina was created in 2023 by the Latinx Lactation Collective (la Unión de Líderes de Lactancia Latino/x) and is celebrated from the first Tuesday following Labor Day to the following Monday, this year September 3-9, 2024. La Semana de la Lactancia Latina (Latina/x Breastfeeding Week) lifts up the voices of the Latina/x communities; celebrates the diverse and resilient cultures; and brings awareness to the unique barriers faced by the Latina/x communities.
