Michigan Breastfeeding Network “Grounding Our Efforts”
Breastfeed Orange NC is a community-wide program to impact Health Equity. Breastfeeding/chestfeeding and human milk feeding offer the best start for an infant, providing optimal health and development and much-needed support for the immature immune system. These amazing benefits are available to all nursing infants; however, the support that families need to initiate and sustain lactation is not equitable. Learning opportunities, such as those offered by the Great Lakes Webinars, help to increase our awareness of the inequities in lactation support and provide steps to remove these inequities. We hope that you will explore the webinars! Supporting a breastfeeding family friendly community really supports a healthier community!
