The Town of Carrboro has completed all Ten Steps towards the Breastfeeding Family Friendly Community designation, and you are invited to the Celebration!

Light refreshments on the lawn in front of the Town Hall starting at 5pm.

Proclamation reading during the Town Council meeting at 6pm. 

Bring your family! Children are always welcome!

If it rains, we'll celebrate under the gazebo in the Town Commons next to the Town Hall. (Same parking lot. :-))

 This June is a great time to reaffirm our commitment to building a welcoming community for all chestfeeding, human milk feeding, lactating, nursing, and breastfeeding families. Parents need support to succeed in their infant and child feeding goals, and a welcoming community is a vital part of that success.

We advocate for policies and practices to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human milk feeding families. We continue to build awareness through education, resources, and outreach to our local governments, businesses and organizations, healthcare providers, childcare providers, and educational systems.
